At 41 years of age, Clint Bowyer is pretty much one of the old guards in NASCAR. However, he is still going strong and will be looking forward to racing on the Charlotte Roval. This is because the Stewart-Haas Racing driver has a great track record at the road course.

Out of 15 races, Bowyer has grabbed one win, in 2012. In addition to that, he finished in the Top 10 in the last three Charlotte Roval races. He also finished 2nd in the 2007 season while racing for Richard Childress Racing, and then finished 6th in 2009 with the same team.

Furthermore, his sole Charlotte Roval win came while he was racing with the Michael Waltrip Racing team. Finally, he recorded race finishes of 6th, 3rd, and 4th with Stewart-Haas.

Truthfully speaking, Bowyer definitely has the pace to do it, and the Stewart-Haas car is no slouch. In the 2020 season, Clint Bowyer has consistently been in the Top 20. The only exceptions are Auto Club, Darlington, the first Charlotte race, and both Talladega races.

It is also worth noting that the weather could wreak a bit of havoc at the track. According to the 41-year old, ‘All Hell will break loose’. He is a little worried that the rain could make an already unpredictable race extremely difficult to master. However, he has normally excelled at the circuit and even competed in a rainy Montreal road-course event in 2008.

The #14 driver will start the race from 11th place as he fights to secure his place in the NASCAR playoff Round of 8. However, the battle will not be easy as he will have to contend with the likes of Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin. In addition to that, Chase Elliott could also pose a massive threat as a past winner. This will also be Bowyer’s last chance to clinch a second Charlotte Roval win, as he will retire at the end of 2020.
