After last weekend’s Darlington race, the Joey Logano-William Byron feud was all that anyone wanted to talk about. Both drivers have been taking shots at each other and even promised retribution. At the following race at Kansas, Logano could only muster 17th, while the Hendrick driver was just ahead of him in 16th place.

In light of their fight, NASCAR spotter Brett Griffin offered some advice to the #24 driver. He said, “If I’m William Byron, here’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to race my b***s off to beat that guy every single weekend. But if there comes a time when I’m out of the Playoff, and he’s still in, that’s when I’m going to pay him back.”
What else did he say about William Byron and Joey Logano?
According to Griffin, the Team Penske driver might slowly be turning into a villain. Sure, he smiles a lot and looks very unassuming, but looks can be deceiving. The spotter is also of the opinion that the #22 driver is in desperate need for some humility.

Now, the big concern is about what happens from here on out. Will Byron and Logano take out their frustration on each other and keep on interfering with each other?

From a rational standpoint, it would be a very silly stunt. This is because both drivers have better things to do than pursue an endless cycle of revenge. Obviously, both Logano and William Byron have designs for the 2022 Cup Series championship. So they cannot hope to achieve the crown if they are so busy trying to wreck each other.

Of course, none of their rivals will be complaining if this does happen. The more they try to outdo each other, it will eliminate them as serious threats to the Cup Series championship. One thing is for sure, it will be very interesting to see how this situation unfolds.
