What lies ahead for Kyle Larson?

For now, the Hendrick driver will be keen to hit the tarmac once again. According to him, Martinsville is his toughest race track, but he will try to win. Of course, teammate Chase Elliott will be right alongside him, battling to enter the Championship 4. On an interesting note, Kyle Larson compared the Cup Series finale to the Chili Bowl Nationals.

Speaking about the season finale, he said, “Knowing that I have a shot to race for a championship. The anticipation definitely rises each day. So I wish we could go to Phoenix tomorrow and get it done and get racing, but I am excited to go to Martinsville. I’m always excited to go to Martinsville and start turning laps, and I realize that I’ve not learned anything from the times before. We ran good there, earlier this year. Ran fifth, finished fifth, so now we’ve got the Number 1 pit stall and starting from pole.

He believes that there is less time for him to ‘psych’ himself out in a NASCAR race. While he is able to do it at the Chili Bowl, such a tactic is not possible at Phoenix. Now, the driver will be training his focus on the remaining two races of the 2021 Cup Series season.

Without a doubt, he will want to know who will join him in the season finale after the Martinsville race. At the moment, teammate Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch occupy the Top 4 slots. However, the trio will be wary of Martin Truex Jr and the three Team Penske cars.
