With Two Playoff Wins, Kevin Harvick is in Prime Position as Playoffs Move to Las Vegas

With the Bristol Motor Speedway race done and dusted, the first round of the Playoffs is complete. So the driver playoff points will be reset before the next round in Las Vegas. Additionally, Kevin Harvick will lead the pack once again, with Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski flanking him.

It is worth noting that every driver eliminated in each round is reset to 2000 points+playoff points earned all year. However, when they get eliminated, the points earned in that round, do not count. This also applies to regular points earned in playoff races.

Kevin Harvick will be the man to beat in Las Vegas

This year, Kevin Harvick has been on a roll and looks like he will be in a prime position to win the title. However, all the remaining drivers in the playoffs will be keen to put a stop to his dominance. Despite being on the verge of 10 wins, some have proven that Harvick is not invulnerable.

So the #4 driver will have a massive target painted on his back. Luckily, he is perfectly capable of holding his own in a straight fight. Harvick also heads into this race on the back of a win at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

However, it was not all smooth sailing, as he had a determined Kyle Busch hounding him for most of the race.

Busch was gutted after he lost the race lead, courtesy of a pesky Joey Logano. At that time, Busch came up to lap Logano but got held up for a little too long. Though he eventually cleared him, it put him in the clutches of Kevin Harvick, who caught and passed Busch.

Now, everyone is set to head to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the next round of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. The question on everyone’s’ minds is, who will emerge on top?
