Out of the four Xfinity championship protagonists, Chase Briscoe is the only one moving to the Cup Series. In other words, this is his one and only chance to win the Xfinity series. However, it is also worth noting that he is also parting ways with his current Xfinity team.

In light of that, he spoke to Fox Sports about how much he will miss them. Briscoe said, “You always want to go out on top. Any time you leave a team or any series, you want to be on top. You want to feel like you didn’t leave anything out on the table.

“I’ve been super fortunate to win at the last race of the season in ARCA and Trucks.

“Hopefully the third time continues to be that way. You definitely want to reward those guys. I’ve been with the #98 team for two and a half years now, and without them, there’s no way I’d be moving on to the #14.”

Chase Briscoe in incredibly grateful to the team

In light of this, he wanted to thank them from the bottom of his heart and give them a championship that they deserve. He acknowledged that they have all worked hard and need a reward for their services. However, he confessed that there is a little bit of pressure to win it for the team and make them proud.

In 2021 he is set to take over the #14 seat after Clint Bowyer retires. Admittedly, filling Bowyer’s boots is a huge task, but a player of Briscoe’s caliber should be up to the task. However, there is no word on who will take over Briscoe’s vacated Xfinity seat.

One thing is for sure, he will certainly want to go out on a high note and win the championship before the big move up. For now, he has to focus on gunning for the 2020 Xfinity championship against Justin Haley, Justin Allgaier, and Austin Cindric.
