Earlier this week, the NASCAR docuseries Race for the Championship, debuted on the USA Network. Arguably, the series aims to follow in the footsteps of Formula One: Drive to Survive and MotoGP Unlimited.

In one of the episodes, Team Penske driver Joey Logano was featured, and fans picked up something about him. Apparently, he refers to his wife Brittany as his ‘hot a** wife’, and gave a hilarious story behind the moniker.

He said, “My contact for my wife has been ‘my hot a** wife’ for the last seven or eight years.”

“It’s just what it is, and it’s funny now because I use Siri to call her. I say, ‘Call my hot a** wife’. My kids in the back are like, ‘You calling mommy?’.”

“Pretty funny, so I feel like somewhere there, it should be changed. I don’t know, I like it though, and now it’s kind of funny. Now we’re playing off it.”

“I didn’t think twice about it being on my screen while they were shooting.”

What else did Joey Logano say about his famous nickname for his wife?

He admitted that this was a good sign because it showed how realistic the series was. He praised the docuseries for doing a great job of depicting how he prepares for races and his life in general. According to the #22 driver, they did not need to edit much, and it was ‘pretty good’ and entertaining.

The 2018 Cup Series champion also admitted that it was cool to see how he and his rivals were portrayed in the series. Of course, he did confess that he was unsure about having cameras around him 24*7.

In spite of this, it did not change his lifestyle at home, especially with his children. He joked that they would say whatever they wanted to say, irrespective of whether the camera was there or not.
