You think of Joey Logano, you think of an image of a smiling, happy-go-lucky man, such is the charm and the look on the Team Penske’s driver’s face. And it’s true, he is quite a fun person.

However, he is a racecar driver, a top-of-the-crop NASCAR driver, who is just as competitive as they come.

And this part of his personality, Logano made quite clear ahead of the first playoff race at Darlington.

“I thought that everything that went down here during the spring was done and over with,” Logano said after grabbing the pole position. “It was tit-for-tat, one for the other. I said it before, I’ll say it again, ‘You don’t want to mess with me.’”

“I’m not going to get pushed around. I’ve done that plenty in my career. It doesn’t work like that for me anymore.”

How did NASCAR fans react to the warning from Joey Logano?

Because of this not-so-subtle and very cold warning by the smiling Joey Logano, NASCAR fans got quite pumped for what’s to come in the playoffs in general, and from the Penske driver should he get in a tussle with another driver.

“dude was pushed around early in his career and he’s not gon let it slide. joey is one of my favorite drivers of all time, off the track we and every driver know that he’s extremely goofy and dorky but once the helmet is on – he’s the most aggressive man on the track. you don’t mess Logano,” one fan reacted.

“I love this energy, baby. This is what I wanna see more of. Give me that entertainment, man. Joey is Mr. Entertainment,” another fan reacted while one wrote, “We all here know the second anyone roughs him up on the racetrack he’s gonna go ballistic and take them out of the race, just like earlier this year.”

“He got shoved around enough to know the deal. Choice of words is key with a camera in your face,” read the reaction from one fan while another termed him as the inspiration for NASCAR’s public enemy #1, “Ross Chastain secretly looks up to this awesome dude.”

However, the finest and most apt of the reactions was also one that really condensed Logano’s personality – “Mans said a threat with a smile on his face.”
