“So excited to get this year going and be a part of this group,” said Smith after he opened up about his delight in joining the Chevy camp at Spire Motorsports. In September last year, the team secured a massive deal, roping in the Truck Series sensation to their stable as its driver for the #71 car, expanding its operations to a three-car operation with veteran Corey LaJoie continuing in the No. 7 car and Carson Hocevar taking over the No. 77 from Ty Dillon.

While the driver’s jump up to the Cup Series was pretty much anticipated by NASCAR pundits, what they couldn’t foresee was his next move. Recently, Zane Smith made headlines by teasing the fans about a possible Truck Series return, and now, he was seen at Bill McAnally Racing alongside team officials, actively sharing his thoughts.

The team even shared an image of the same with the caption, “Great to have you in the house, @ZaneSmith.” Just merely hours after the team shared the tweet of its new partners, family members, and friends, they shared the update about Smith’s walk over to the Chevy camp. But does this mean anything significant?
