Danica Patrick surely comes in the ranks as one of the most successful female athletes. But of course, she faces competition from Serena Williams, as a sportswoman. And as it stands, she was behind Williams by a good margin when the Forbes list came out. But she still bested the tennis legend in one area.

She also beat Venus Williams and Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas as she triumphed.

Patrick, who became the first female to win a Cup pole at the Daytona 500, won a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for the third time in 2013. Moreover, she was named the favorite female athlete according to nascar.com.

The former NASCAR Cup Series and IndyCar driver bested the Tennis legend, Serena Williams, her sister, Venus and Gabby Douglas. She celebrated the win at the USC Galen Center as she said, “This is a huge award. It means so much when I see you at the race track, and you cheer for me.”

Patrick and Williams both made it to the list of top 5 women who made the most money between 2013 and 2014. The Tennis legend was ahead of the former racecar driver and not by a small margin. In fact, she made a whopping, $7 million more than the Daytona 500 pole winner. Patrick was the 5th highest earning female athlete in that year, while Williams was 3rd.
