German outfit Schalke have confirmed their interest in signing Manchester City outcast Matija Nastasic in January.
The Serbian defender has fallen out of favour with Manuel Pellegrini and Schalke are thought to be the ones leading the chase to sign him, with talks of a loan deal currently rife.
Schalke chief Clemens Tonnies told Bild: ”Yes, we are after him. Our coach, Roberto Di Matteo, has him in his plans. Also, the player absolutely wants to come to us.”
After a long period of injury, Matija hasn’t gotten enough playing time, hence the move out of England seems likely.
