“When I got the first wicket, the pressure of playing a debut match was released. I was a bit low on confidence before that but that wicket changed it. When I took the second wicket, then it all felt normal. The hat-trick ball I was thinking about how I had watched others take hat-tricks and how they took them,” Saini told bcci.tv.

Pollard was on 49 when he  missed a full toss from Navdeep Saini. A weak appeal from the Indians saw the umpire give the decision in favour of Pollard, which was overturned after Kohli took the review.

“I was thinking it was not-out, I appealed but the umpire also gave it not-out. But Virat paaji went for the review. He was saying ‘there’s a review remaining. why waste it? Let’s take it’. When the decision was overturned and it was given out, I was delighted,” the speedster said.
