Former Indian cricketer, Navjot Singh Sidhu was hospitalized with a condition called acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This involves formation of a clot in one of the deep veins and is quite a serious condition.

The doctors at the Apollo hospital are currently handling the situation well and they issued a statement saying, “Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Delhi today evening with acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This is a life threatening condition if not treated on time. Mr Sidhu has been put on blood thinners and has been recovering well. His condition is said to be stable as of now” The clot formed in the deep vein hinders the normal flow of blood in the body.
