He doesn’t need a spotlight—he becomes it. Alex Caruso’s journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. He’s always delivered from the bench to the big moments. In 417 games, he started just 133, only 32%. Still, every time he checked in, the game changed. Opponents learned the hard way: underestimate him, and pay the price. Season after season, the same story. And guess what? The 2024-25 campaign was no different.

Meanwhile, Caruso did it again, just like 2020, but this time in the OKC Thunder blue. His numbers never scream, but his presence roars. On Sunday, he dropped 10 points, three boards, three steals, and a block in 32 clutch minutes. Off the bench, he became the heartbeat of a defense now called historic. Quietly relentless, he’s once again a Finals legend in motion.

This is Caruso’s second ring in eight years of his NBA career. And he has made everyone proud. Especially his girlfriend, Haleigh Broucher, and the college basketball team. Taking to her IG Story, Haleigh shared two slides. In the first one, she is hugging the 31-year-old on the court after the victory. She captioned: “My 2x champ, 2 rings this year 💍.” Alex Caruso proposed to Haleigh Broucher on a beach on August 30, 2024. She shared the moment with the touching caption “Yes, in every lifetime.”

Meanwhile, in the second story, Haleigh shared a post by the Texas A&M Aggies Men’s Basketball. The poster features Caruso with the caption: “Alex Caruso 2x NBA Champion.” Oh, this must be such a delight to look at! Here hoopers are giving their all to win their first championships, but here the guard has two of them. One, with the Lakers in 2020, and now with OKC.

However, helping the team in winning the fabled Game 7 vs. the Indiana Pacers wasn’t the only task for the veteran. He had an even bigger and more important duty in the locker room. And that is to (again) help his boys in celebrating their win in style. How?

What’s your perspective on:

Is Alex Caruso the most underrated player in the NBA, or is he finally getting his due?

Alex Caruso’s teammate shared how the guard helped them in the locker room with their odd dilemma

Did you see the Thunder stars popping champagne bottles after winning the 2025 NBA Finals? If you haven’t yet, you must check those clips out. They’re endearing and hilarious at the same time, because those boys looked clueless. And Isaiah Hartenstein just spilled the beans on this story.

During the postgame presser, one of the reporters asked Hartenstein: “What was the celebration like when you guys got to the locker room? Because when we got there, there weren’t bottles being popped like you normally see. Did we miss that?” And he confessed: “First of all, none of us knew how to do it. It was more like those YouTube tutorials. We were just asking AC how to do it. It wasn’t really in sync because no one knew how. Shout out to AC for teaching us how to pop champagne, I guess.”

Yes, this is your cue to facepalm or just bombard OKC with crying emojis. Well, had Caruso not been around, these players would’ve been lost (pun intended!)

From winning rings to popping champagne, Alex Caruso did it all. He led on the court and saved the party off it. And in the crowd, Haleigh Broucher beamed, watching her fiancé become a two-time champ. Eight years in, two titles down, and still the ultimate game-changer. As the confetti fell, Caruso proved once more: legends lead loudest in silence.
