Following “Superhero” LeBron James’ Footsteps, NBA ROTY Joins College Football Hype, but Not for Coach Prime

While the NFL’s new season kicked off, football fans all over the country are in high spirits. On the other hand, collegiate-level football has taken over their attention. Moreover, it isn’t just the fans, superstars like LeBron James have also continuously shown their for college basketball. Notably, the Los Angeles Lakers forward extended his support to Coach Prime Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes via multiple tweets. Following the superstar, a rising star has taken his support to collegiate football to another level.
Over the last weeks, The Buffs coach Sanders has been constantly making headlines. The NFL legend sports a cowboy hat and striking shades to wherever he appears. Apart from that, he also made controversial statements. Moreover, King James constantly supported the 56-year-old. Besides that, James expressed his love for the sport via tweets. As an immediate effect, a 20-year-old Orlando Magic star, who called James a ‘superhero’, took his support to the sidelines.

During the much hyped Colorado instate clash between the Buffs and the Colorado State Rams, LeBron James made multiple tweets in support of Buffs. Following the game, he continued tweeting for Sanders. Similarly, The Magic’s Paolo Banchero also cheered, but not for Deion Sanders’ buff. Banchero instead raised his cheer for his own college team, the Duke Blue Devils.
Even though he joined the college football hype after his ‘superhero’ James, he took the hype to another level. During the Saturday night game between the Devils and Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football, he reached the sidelines to show his support. Banchero took to his Instagram stories and shared a video of him hyping the Devils players during the break.

In a recent podcast with Crew Has It with Michael Rainey Jr. and Gianni Paolo, he spoke a lot about his rookie season and his journey in clinching the Rookie of the Year award. Amid that, he was asked to name his favorite NBA players and, without any hesitation, he named Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James.
He said, “For me Lebron and Carmelo bro, like I looked at them like superheroes.” He further went to explain how Melo and James played a huge role in shaping his game.
