Anthony Edwards made everyone scratch their heads in confusion after the comfortable victory over the Utah Jazz. The 22-year-old star guard engaged with the fans after dropping a dominating 32 points. At that moment, one of the fans from the stands asked for his jersey. Ant-Man politely declined, saying, “I gotta give it to Collin.”

Hoop Central, a popular basketball handle on X, misspelled Collin with Collins. This may seem like a small mistake, but it can make a huge difference when it comes to the Jazz roster. The team has players named John Collins and Collin Sexton. Now that it isn’t clear to whom Edwards wanted to swap his jersey, a reporter came to the rescue.

Many felt that it could be John Collins as Ant-Man accidentally injured him during a thunderous dunk, but it isn’t the case. Sarah Todd, a Jazz beat reporter, took to her X handle and wrote, “It’s actually “Collin”. Ant swapped jerseys with fellow Georgia native Collin Sexton after the game.”

At the same time, it could have been a friendly gesture if Anthony Edwards swapped jerseys with John Collins for the nasty injury. During the third quarter of the game, Anthony Edwards received a quick pass from a transition and he ran up the lane to slam a dunk.

Collins came in between to take charge and the unfazed Wolves’ guard dunked on him, ultimately injuring his head. The video clip of the dunk surfaced across social media, even receiving the ‘Dunk of the Year’ title.

Following the play, Sham Charania’s post stated that Collins suffered a head contusion after the impact. Moreover, the report also added that the 26-year-old forward has evaded concussion. Despite the drama, it was Collin Sexton, who swapped the jersey with the rising superstar after leading Utah with 24 points.

While there isn’t any visual backing available of the duo swapping jerseys, Sarah Todd’s post has been the only source. Todd also stated that he swapped with Sexton because they both branched out of the same native, Georgia.

25-year-old Sexton came into the league two years before Ant-Man and has found a crucial spot in the Jazz line-up. The Wolves star, on the other hand, positioned himself as the ‘next big thing’ with his insane performances. Edwards clearly won the Georgia race, defeating Sexton by a fair margin.
