Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez reveal their next move after the Glen Taylor bomb. While the Minnesota Timberwolves have had a rocking season on the court, the scenes off the court may put the team in a tough spot. Days after Taylor declared that the Wolves were no longer in the market for sale, Lore and A-Rod revealed their next move and spoke about Adam Silver’s involvement in the conflict.

Appearing on the latest episode of Dane Moore NBA Podcast, Marc Lore answered the million-dollar question. The host asked Lore if the duo had contacted Adam Silver or the NBA in general after the fallout. Lore didn’t directly reveal whether the NBA commissioner was involved, but he stressed that they didn’t want to cause any trouble to the league. He added, “I think we want to be delicate. We don’t want to cause problems for the NBA.”

Apart from that, Marc Lore simplified the issue and highlighted the current conflict between the duo and Glen Taylor. Former MLB star Alex Rodriguez and Lore have been in the NBA conversations for over three years. The duo went into a deal with Taylor, the majority owner of the Wolves, to buy the team for $1.5 billion.

While both parties agreed to settle the deal partially, Taylor claimed that the deal was off before the final payment, saying that the duo had breached the deadline. Meanwhile, the duo denied it, highlighting a clause that offered them a 90-day extension.

Speaking of the conflict, Lore said, “Normally the buyer and the seller bring it to the league and they present the deal and goes for approval but if you’ve got one owner saying I don’t want to sell the team and it’s my team… it puts them in a difficult situation.”

Will the duo resolve the issue without Adam Silver?

Adam Silver has established that he is a strong persona at the top of the NBA governing body. Time and again, he has made assertive decisions to have a strong hold over the league. For instance, he strongly ruled out the presence of state-owned investment groups as the majority owners of the league.

In the same vein, if he steps into the Wolves’ ownership issue, the 61-year-old could solve the growing concern. Moreover, Lore claimed that Glen Taylor had cold feet to let go of the team rather than a contract issue. So, the owners have decided to solve the problem themselves instead of reaching out to the league.
