In a recent move, the Boston Celtics acquired Jrue Holiday as the point guard extended his stay in the East. In the process, though, the franchise had to trade away Robert Williams to the Portland Trail Blazers. Channing Frye, in particular, disliked the decision as he showcased his disagreement publicly.

James’ teammate from Cleveland Cavaliers days thus stated, “I have no clue why the Celtics gave up Robert Williams”. He raised the question of the team lacking individuals to guard the big men around the league due to this trade. So, the 40-year-old threw the question, “Who’s gonna guard Giannis and Embiid?”.

The doubts caught the attention of Anna Horford, the spouse of Al Horford, as she hit back at the NBA champion. She defended her husband, highlighting how he had been guarding the likes of Antetokounmpo and Embiid for years. So, she mentioned, “Why is everyone acting like Al hasn’t been one of the best Giannis/Embiid defenders for years”.

This interaction showcased her faith in her partner’s abilities as the 37-year-old was set to enter his 16th NBA season. With the backing from his wife, the ball is now on Al’s court.

Can Al Horford provide the Boston Celtics with the needed defensive solidity?

Despite reaching the age of 37, the center is showing no signs of slowing down. In his previous two seasons in Boston, he has already become a dependable asset for the roster. A nailed-on starter who rarely gets injured, the Dominican Republican’s dedication to his team is applaudable.
