Stephen Curry couldn’t suit up. But he showed his face at the Chase Center. The Warriors talisman hasn’t played since January 30 with a knee injury. After the long hiatus, Curry feels he’s getting closer to returning soon. The Warriors need his services while they try to battle through the Play-In Tournament once again. But that’s not the only reason the Baby Face Assassin is slogging to make his return.

Family is just as important. His younger brother, Seth Curry, is a part of the team. After his battles with sciatica, the former Hornets guard is playing regular minutes. Both brothers carry the same wish now that they represent the Warriors again.
“Wanna get out there with him at least one time and experience that and put on a show for the fans. That’s what it’s all about, the team, the fans. At the end of the day, everybody wants to see us out there on the court. I know that’s one of his motivating factors for getting out there. To see us out there on the court together,” said Seth Curry.
“Wanna get out there with him (Steph) at least one time and experience that and put on a show for the fans… I know that’s one of his motivating factors for getting out there. To see us out there on the court together, but no pressure.”

While injured, Stephen Curry called them the “rehab brothers”. However, this season hasn’t allowed the siblings to feature in a game together. That’s a moment much bigger than basketball. It’s an everlasting memory for the Curry household. Their parents, Dell and Sonya, are already brimming with pride.
They’ve seen the two brothers battle on the biggest stage against one another. But to see them play together is something entirely different. Stephen Curry understands that. There’s “no pressure” from Seth Curry, who is leaving it up to fate. Yet, his four-time NBA champion brother has already circled a date on the calendar.
Stephen Curry sets a date to return for the Warriors
Curry returning during the regular season doesn’t add much value to the franchise. They’re locked in for the Play-In Tournament. But it’s integral for the two-time MVP to have some reps under his legs before playing at playoff intensity. The good news is that Stephen Curry is able to practice with teammates.
The 38-year-old has had a couple of scrimmages. Kerr said he ‘looked good’ during the practice sessions. They’ve waited two months for this moment. And there’s finally a set target that Curry and the team have set for his return.
According to Shams Charania, that could happen as soon as Sunday when the Warriors host the Houston Rockets. The team hopes Curry can make it to the hardwood. They’ve struggled with injuries all season. Eight players were left out of tonight’s contest against the Spurs, barring Stephen Curry.
Their ace is the beacon of hope to rescue a troublesome 2025-26 campaign. The team has failed to cope with his loss. The Warriors have a 9-17 record since the savvy point guard suffered his knee injury. Their offense needs a jolt that only Stephen Curry can provide at the moment. The Warriors rank 27th in points per game since January 30, shooting just 34.1% from beyond the arc.
That’s the kind of desperation looming inside the Warriors facility. Curry has been sensational, averaging 27.2 points and 4.8 assists before his ailment. The Warriors need his shot creation and shooting prowess while battling for a chance to make it to the postseason.
While it did take some time, Stephen Curry seems all ready to suit up again. Subsequently, Seth Curry’s wishes could also come true provided he doesn’t get bit by the injury bug.
