Despite the criticisms surrounding the All-Star game, Karl-Anthony Towns came out on top with his performance. The Minnesota Timberwolves star dropped 50 points with 8 rebounds on a losing cause, whereas the All-Star MVP Damian Lillard only scored 39 points. As absurd as it sounded, the fans also didn’t take it easy as well. Towns’ fans swarmed his latest social media post’s comments and expressed their disappointment with his MVP snub.

Hours after the ASG, the Wolves star took to his X handle and dropped a special highlight reel from the All-Star weekend. It comprised Towns’ video clips from the 3-point challenge and explosive dunks from ASG. He also added his emotional statement from interviews, in which he said, “I’m just super excited that I get to live this dream. I used to tell my mother all the time… I’m happy that I’m living out my dream.” Notably, last night was his 4th All-Star appearance.

In response to the video, fans marched to the comments and highlighted the MVP snub. One user wrote, “ALL STAR MVP SNUB.” Here are some more reactions from fans.

While some felt that the star was not given the MVP, some fans appreciated him for leading the scoreboard last night.

The West team had an off night at the ASG game. The team had superstars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant, but still couldn’t cross the line. On the other hand, Karl-Anthony Towns had a breakout night. He also broke two records in his 50-point game.

He broke the record for most points scored in a half with 40 points and also the most points scored in a quarter with 31 points. He almost single-handedly took care of the West offense.

In the last quarter of the ASG, three stars from the East, Haliburton, Lillard, and Jaylen Brown, were in the race for the MVP award. While the Indy crowd expected the 23-year-old to win it, Dame Time took home the trophy. Moreover, it wasn’t an easy task for the Milwaukee Bucks star.

When Ernie Johnson announced the winner of the MVP award, fans welcomed Lillard with loud boos. In response to that, he said, “I expected it, we are in his (Haliburton) hometown, we are in his building, he had a great game.”
