Houston continue their playoff push
“Injuries are part of the game,” said Fred VanVleet, who led the Rockets for their 4th win in their last 5 games. As Sabonis led the home team, the Kings sparked a fourth quarter run, cutting a 17 point deficit to 5. However, Rockets pushed during the later minutes, sparked by Jalen Green‘s route to team’s second best 19 points.
Regardless of Houston’s admirable outing, the win came equally through the Kings’ mistakes. Sacramento held a 59-53 lead at the halftime, and caused 5 turnovers in the third stretch. This allowed the visitors to go on a double digit run and limiting the Kings to a mere 14 point quarter.

The biggest setback for the Kings came behind the arc, as they struggled heavily, connecting on just 6 threes on 32 attempts. Moreover, De’Aaron Fox succumbed to yet another off night, scoring 18 points across 34 minutes on the board. Even though the star guard managed to involve his teammates amidst his struggles, his 7 of 21 shooting mounted a significant void in the game.
