The 2023 NBA Summer League has been the subject of tremendous attention. After one of the most exciting NBA Drafts in recent history, fans caught their first glimpses of the players’ brilliance. With just a few days in, the NBA Summer League has produced some spectacular moments, one such coming from the No.4 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Amen Thompson.

Thompson, 20, is already dubbed the “young LeBron James“ for his incredible athleticism and playmaking. After drawing comparisons with the all-time leading scorer of the NBA, Thompson delivered another reason for fans to be excited about his arrival in the league.

Amen Thompson has had a tremendous journey toward the NBA. Along with his brother Ausar, the 20-year-old caught the attention of fans on several occasions. Drawing comparisons to LeBron James who was dubbed ‘The Chosen One’ before being drafted is no joke.

With Amen drawing such high praise, it might seem like a difficult task to keep fans engaged in the narrative. However, his brilliant play in the NBA Summer League game reassured fans of his credibility.

Thompson and the Houston Rockets took on the Portland Trail Blazers in their first matchup of the NBA 2K24 Summer League. In the 3rd quarter of the game, Thomspon made a terrific pass to Tari Eason which took the NBA world by storm.
