Los Angeles was recently tied to rumors of being interested in trading for All-Star guard, Zach LaVine. Now, another rumor circling amid the NBA world is the Lakers’ interest in All-Star point guard, Dejounte Murray.

Amid the trade rumors, an old video of Murray talking about LeBron James goes viral. In the video, he can be heard saying, Great man, great leader, great father, great basketball player. Somebody that took me under his wing. I’m just thankful to have somebody like that in my corner.”

What a lot of people may not realize is this video is almost a year old and was uploaded by the official X account of the NBA.

Dejounte Murray has been a part of the Atlanta Hawks for the past few years. However, given the Hawks’ current condition, the team has not been able to utilize Murray’s talents due to them already having another All-Star point guard in Trae Young.

So, this trade may end up benefiting not just the Lakers but the Hawks as well.
