LeBron James and co finally finished the group stage after Team USA’s blowout win over Puerto Rico. Following their matchup against South Sudan, it was pretty obvious that the Dream Team 2.0 would go on to top Group C. It was a happy moment for the team as well as the fans but it wasn’t any of the veterans who led the squad to this dominant victory. Instead, it was Anthony Edwards and Joel Embiid taking charge! While King James finished the game with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists, ANT dropped 26 points. And Embiid, well, he scored 15 points altogether.

Regardless, Bron was busy doing Bron things. He was all over the floor, aiming to add another MVP trophy to his resume. But how is it a security concern? Well, as it turns out, as security was looking to keep fans from going near the legend, Bron decided to go the other way. He defied the “threats”, snatched a fan’s phone from their hands, and took a surprise group selfie with them before going to the locker room.

Whoever’s phone it was, probably had the best night of their lives!

Security has been of the utmost importance in Paris since the Olympics began. Hindrances with the Parisian rail network, putting the train schedules behind has been a major concern for the security forces there. Team USA continued to take the train route to Lille, as they do not reside in the Olympic Village. Security concerns were also on the rise after a bomb threat at the Franco-Swiss airport. This might remind some fans of the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Back then, the Americans were isolated in a cruise ship on the coast of Athens amid war in the Middle East. Luckily, this time around, Team USA doesn’t need to be isolated, however, the security concerns still linger.

LeBron James and company on the other hand are on track to bagging the gold. Team USA has topped the group play after a dominant victory over Puerto Rico. As they prepare for the quarter-finals against Brazil, the Olympic playoffs will be held in Paris. Not only that but the King has moved closer to winning the MVP award.

Will LeBron James win the MVP award?

James currently ranks number one on the MVP rankings. The 39-year-old veteran has been phenomenal so far and hasn’t looked back. LeBron has two Olympic golds under his name and the third would only match with an MVP trophy. Players like SGA, Jokic, Schroder, and KD are among the top candidates on the MVP ladder. However, if James continues to keep up with the pace, the four-time MVP will add another such award to his accolades. The quarter-final round will be more interesting to watch, knowing that this year’s format will only ensure nail-biting matchups in the playoffs.
