One NBA star who got it all wrong in the 2023 off-season is James Harden. After the Philadelphia 76ers suffered a disappointing loss in the playoffs, he immediately hinted at a trade-out. However, he hasn’t landed any contract so far. Instead, the superstar faced a lot of backlash throughout the off-season. Notably, the league slapped a hefty fine on him for taking a dig at his own team’s official. Amid all this trade drama, the Beard gave a public shout-out to an upcoming artist.

The Philly superstar has always had a strong connection with music and musicians. In fact he produced his own song titled Harden Soul. Apart from that he also has a lot of friends from the American rap industry. Notably, he has a strong connection with Lil Durk, Meek Mill, and Lil Baby. Moreover, in addition to his rapper buddies, he looks to add a rising star.

James Harden gives a shout-out to rising star

James Harden took music very seriously even during his busy NBA seasons. He also recently mentioned how he never used to miss recording sessions with Lil Durk, Meek Mill, and Lil Baby, reported Complex. In that lineup, Harden recently gave a shout-out to an 18-year-old rapper Lil Darius on his recent song.

The Beard took to his Instagram stories and shared Lil Darius’ recent IG post promoting his latest song release. Darius’ IG post caption read, “Just dropped “Meant 4 You” featuring @ya1favmagic OUT NOW ! link in my bio,” along with a small snippet of a video of the song. Harden shared the post on his stories with a caption, “Talk to emmmmm @lildarius.”

The rising artist from Athens, Georgia called himself the ‘Chosen one’ in an interview. He said, “To get a chance, to get something like this. I feel like I’m chosen,” reported Allhiphop.com. He currently has an Instagram following count of 346k and would look to make it big as he recently received a shout-out from one of the biggest stars of the NBA.

As mentioned earlier, Harden had his own troubles in the off season but he is yet to find solace.

Apart from Harden, there are several other stars, who are looking for a change in team. Notably, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and a few others. Importantly, Harden’s teammate Joel Embiid is also looking for a change. However, the veteran NBA analyst Bill Simmons recently revealed that out of Greek Freak, Embiid and Donovan Mitchell, anyone will shift their team within one year in his recent podcast. Unfortunately, Harden’s name didn’t feature on his list.
