Kevin Durant achieved a huge career milestone during his In-Season tournament. He got his name in the distinguished company of all-time leading scorers in NBA history.  He passed Moses Malone’s 27411 points and got to the no. 10 spot. Drafted in the NBA as a 19-year-old, it took Durant 17 years to achieve the milestone.  Someone who averages 27 points has so many good things about him but what about the bad?

The discussion between former NBA players turned podcasters, Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner tried to answer the question. They shared their take on the areas where Durant lacks.

In his podcast Point Forward, Andre shared that there was no flaw in Durant’s game but the only problem he had was regarding lifting weights. Andre said, “Dude there is only one flaw in a KD’s game. And it has nothing to do with basketball.  KD’s only fault is he won’t lift weights. That is it. You can push him you can foul him and they he’s so good they get mad and they just let him foul I’m like KD if you just lift weights .”

However, Andre further added that Durant’s working out is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. Andre said, “If you watch him work out. Most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”  While Andre and Evan may have found one fault in the veteran,  LeBron James recently had spirit-lifting words for the Suns star.

LeBron James’ admiration for Kevin Durant

The two-time MVP has played with the finest teams in the NBA like Thunder, Warriors, Nets, and Phoenix Suns. Rubbing shoulders with LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant in the top scorers’ list must have been one of the best moments in Durant’s life. While Andre and Evan may try to engage in leg pulling of the veteran, he had another NBA giant congratulating him.
LeBron James, who became the leading all-time scorer on February 8, 2023, toppling Kareem Abdul Jabbar, took to Twitter to congratulate the Suns’ star. He wrote on his Twitter, “Top 10!! Congrats’” along with fire emojis.

The two have a friendly relationship, even though they don’t let that come in the way of competing at one’s best. Recently, LeBron James put the photograph of Micheal Jordon and Charles Barkley online to respond to how two stars can be friends despite competitors. What do you think of the rivalry/friendship between the two veterans? Let us know in the comments.
