TGL Golf takes yet another flight. After roping Giannis Antetokounmpo among the NBA ranks, the star-stacked field is only getting riper. Now Stephen Curry is dipping his toe into the ownership ranks of the TGL. The Guard has taken part in the ownership of a San Francisco-based team. It was natural for the Guard who has been in the Bay Area for a decade and a half. This huge step further proves that the brainchild of Tiger Woods, Rory Mcllroy, and Mike Mclarey has a promising start.

As for Steph, he had some of his mates plug into the ownership as well. As San Francisco gets a new golf team, these Warriors players can rake in huge profits.

Two long-term comrades join Stephen Curry

Along with former Bucks’ Marc Lasry, Curry decided to stake an ownership in the upcoming San Francisco Golf team. This is going to be a major stop for the former owners of Lasry Avenue Sports Fund. This newly launched fund also has Steph’s current teammate Klay Thompson and former teammate Andre Iguodala as the Limited Partners(LP).

The Guard questioned American players moving to the LIV Golf Project, backed by Saudi’s state-run $700 billion PIF fund. Instead of going for an investment in this Saudi Arabia-based project, he is going to invest in the USA’s market.

This project by Woods is growing at an electric rate. The list of high-profile names joining in is non-exhaustive. Giannis Antetokounmpo was the earliest investor in an LA team and is joined by sporting stalwarts Serena Williams, Michelle Wie West, and Alex Morgan. 

It was well-known that the Warriors sharpshooter aimed to join the venture since it was announced. As a golf lover, this move must bring immense pleasure to him. This year has been great for his golfing journey.

He had a huge achievement as he finished at the top of The American Century Championship. During its first day, he nailed a mind-boggling 152-yard hole-in-one. This incredible success showed how hard he has worked in his game. Just like he nails his long-rage jumpers, distance isn’t an issue in golf either. 

Meanwhile, his ownership bid can be a game-changer. If the team-based TGL takes off at an impressive rate, it will not only enrich his pockets but will also give a big lift to the golfing scene. As it gets challenged by PGA and LIV alike, will Woods’ novel concept reach the intended heights?
