The Golden State Warriors were called out for dragging the offseason, but how they picked up in the last few weeks reflects their Warrior mentality. After settling with Jonathan Kuminga and bringing in key pieces like Al Horford and more, the Dubs looked great in their first preseason clash. They won 111-103 against the Lakers despite HC Kerr allowing limited minutes to his starters. Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler played around for more or less 15 minutes. But will Kerr risk them tonight?

Tonight, the Warriors will be up against the Portland Trail Blazers for their second preseason game of the season. So, will we be seeing Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green in action at the Chase Center? Our sources say we can expect to see some good basketball tonight in San Francisco. Even Warriors reporter Sam Gordon has confirmed the same in a conversation with head coach Steve Kerr. According to him, we’ll see all the Golden State stars on the court tonight. But will the Baby-face assassin play?

Warriors resumed preseason practice today at Chase Center ahead of their preseason matchup Wednesday with the Portland Trail Blazers. Speaking afterward, head coach Steve Kerr says Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Al Horford will play,” Gordon reported. In fact, what’s even more interesting is that not only will the likes of Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler suit up against Portland, but they’ll also clock in more minutes than they did on Sunday.

Once again, this is something Dubs boss Steve Kerr himself attested to during a recent presser. “We usually ramp [the veterans] up a little bit each game, so I would imagine it’ll be a little bit more than the other night, but I’ll wait to see what Rick says,” he suggested. That’s something the Dubs did last season as well with Stephen Curry, as they increased the point guard’s minutes in each preseason game until he almost played an entire game. However, the veteran was eventually held out for two preseason clashes.

Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how many minutes Green and Butler get tonight, especially Jimmy, as he reportedly rolled his ankle in practice before the Lakers matchup. However, despite that small setback, he looked pretty solid on Sunday night, scoring 9 points in 15 minutes of action along with grabbing 4 rebounds and 2 assists. But two players might sit out tonight. According to ESPN, Seth Curry is listed as probable, whereas De’Anthony Melton is out. Despite that, expect the Warriors to fire up.

Now that you know both Butler and Draymond Green will be playing tonight, don’t you want to know where you can catch them live?

However, that doesn’t mean Portland cannot pull off a preseason upset. In fact, they will be eying to do just that with Jrue Holiday and Co. trying to build some momentum heading into the regular season. Either way, we’ll have our eyes on the Chase Center tonight and hope you’ll be doing the same as well.
