The OKC Thunder will be wrapping up their East Coast trip with their final stop in Milwaukee tonight, which will determine whether the trip was fully successful or if the Bucks still have the potential to end that streak. Honestly, a large part of this will depend on the statuses of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. And their recent update may leave the fanbase a little worried.

Sure, Giannis and Lillard have been on the probable list a few times recently but still suited up for the final showdown. However, this time could be different, as the Bucks will be on the second night of a back-to-back. So, the team might decide to sideline them to avoid the risks of exhaustion.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard’s availability against OKC

Hours before the East vs. West face-off, the Bucks dropped their injury report. Giannis and Lillard are once again on it. The franchise has listed them as probable for Monday night’s game. The Greek Freak is still dealing with tendinopathy in his right knee, while Lillard’s sore right groin is causing discomfort. However, that’s not the final verdict. The team will assess their condition before making a final decision ahead of the game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 30.6 points and 12.1 rebounds, while Lillard is contributing an impressive 25.2 points and 7.2 assists per game. Together, their performances have been key in solidifying the team’s offense.

There’s no doubt that the duo is crucial for the game against the Thunder. Facing the Western side without Giannis and Lillard would feel like conceding defeat already. But then again, with the playoffs just around the corner, the decision to play them despite their injuries will be a tough call for the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard aren’t the sole reasons behind the team’s struggles.

Who else is on the Bucks’ injury list?

Besides Giannis and Dame Time, the team will also miss Bobby Portis Jr., as he’s facing a 25-game suspension. Additionally, the availability of Kyle Kuzma and Jericho Sims is still in question.

Kuzma is suffering from a non-Covid illness and Sims’ sprain on the right thumb is making things difficult for him. The team will drop an update on their status just before the game.

Both teams have won their last two games and will be looking to secure another victory. In their last meeting, it was the OKC side that defeated the Bucks. Could this be their second win of the season, or will the Bucks settle the score tonight? Tune in at 9 PM ET to catch all the live action from the Fiserv Forum.
