After the 118-111 win against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Golden State Warriors are gearing up for their preseason finale. Tonight, the Dubs will be taking on the LA Clippers at the Chase Center in San Francisco and hope to close on a high before they face the Lakers on the opening night of the regular season. So far, Stephen Curry and Co. have looked solid in the exhibition games, boasting a 3-1 record, but tonight they might have to test the roster deep as a key player is doubtful.

Jimmy Butler, the Warriors forward, is expected to miss tonight’s action due to an ankle injury he sustained earlier during practice. “He didn’t practice today, but I really feel good about Tuesday,” Steve Kerr said on Butler’s status. “He’s getting work in, but we didn’t want to play him tomorrow after three days of inactivity, so he’ll ramp it up the next few days.” The Warriors’ head coach’s statement clearly suggested that Butler’s not 100 percent at the moment.
However, you shouldn’t get too worked up about the 37-year-old’s health, despite his terrible injury record. The Golden State has confirmed that Butler has undergone an MRI on Monday and that the scan came back clean. Even Kerr further backed this report, saying, “We’re not concerned.” So, it’s safe to assume that the superstar will be ready to go for the regular season. Nonetheless, while that clears the air around Butler’s availability for tonight’s matchup, what about Stephen Curry?

Well, the Dubs point guard did participate in the team’s win over Portland on Tuesday. Curry was the main architect of the 118-111 win over. He put up a staggering 28 points along with 5 assists and 6 rebounds in 27 minutes of action against the Trail Blazers. So, given that he’s fit and this is the last chance for him to get in reps before the season, it’s safe to assume we’ll see Steph Curry in action. However, despite Curry being available for the clash, there are still plenty of other absences the franchise will have to deal with.

Golden State Warriors injury report for their preseason finale
Apart from Jimmy Butler, the Warriors are also expected to be without a few more key players. The most notable name among them is none other than Moses Moody. The 23-year-old shooting guard is doubtful for tonight’s matchup against the Clippers. This comes after he recently suffered a calf injury, ruling him out for the rest of the preseason. While that means there’s no chance he makes a comeback tonight, head coach Steve Kerr did indicate that he will return soon.
“He hasn’t practiced yet, and we’re hoping that he gets on the floor, maybe Sunday or Monday,” he said. “But without enough ramp-up time, he’s doubtful for the opener.” However, the Dub Nation’s injury struggles don’t end with Butler and Moody. It’s because rookie Alex Toohey is also expected to miss tonight’s game, as he’s on a day-to-day basis. Joining him on the sidelines is also Stephen Curry’s brother and sharpshooter, Seth Curry, who missed Tuesday’s game due to a non-injury-related issue.
Now, whether he will play tonight or not remains to be a game-day decision. Similarly, it Draymond Green’s availability will also be worth watching as the Dubs center missed Tuesday’s matchup to rest. Lastly, De’Anthony Melton continues to recover from his knee-related issue, and his situation will be re-evaluated in around four weeks, as per ESPN. This means Steve Kerr will be forced to test his depth tonight against James Harden and the Clippers, but where can you watch the action live?
