The Golden State Warriors will be facing off against the Houston Rockets in a pivotal NBA Cup quarter-final clash on Wednesday night. The Warriors have just won four of their last ten games and after a hot start to the season have slowed down recently. However, they did pick up a huge win over Minnesota this weekend, which would’ve given the Dubs some much-needed confidence boost.

Ahead of this matchup, Dubs fans want to know if the star duo of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green will play or not. Well, as of now both Curry and Green are off the injury report and look to start this game. In fact, Steph showcased great form in the win against Minnesota where he torched them for 30 points.

On the other hand, Green, too, has been in great form averaging 8.8 points, and leads the team in terms of blocks made averaging one block per game. The two veterans will be the key pieces for the Warriors to punch their tickets to the next round of the tournament. At the same time, their opponents are also in great form with a 16-8 record and have been playing great on the defensive end of the floor in which they are ranked fifth-best in the NBA.

Additionally, the two teams have already come face-to-face twice this season with Golden State coming on top on both occasions. What’s more interesting about these two meetings is the fact that the Dubs did not have Steph for either of the games. Although Curry and Green as available for this NBA Cup game, here is the injury report for the latest update on the Warriors squad.

So far this season, Moody has averaged 7.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and has been a regular feature in the squad. Lastly, we have D’Anthony Melton for whom the season is over as he will be undergoing surgery on his left ACL.

How will the Golden State Warriors lineup for the Clash?

The Warriors could miss Wiggins for this must-win clash and they already will be without Moses Moody which is another blow for the team. However, it’s not all bad as they will have Curry for this matchup, which wasn’t the case in the previous meetings. This is how the Warriors could line up and also their depth chart before the quarterfinals.

To conclude, although it is really difficult to beat a team in three straight matchups, however, the Warriors have shown that they are more than capable of doing so. Most importantly because they have Curry for this matchup and even though they could miss a few players they will try to make a statement with a win. On the other hand, Alperen Şengün and the Rockets will also not go down without a fight so, this game promises to be a great watch.
