The NBA regular season is just around the corner, the hype around the league gets real. Until the preseason games, the NBA world fed off the trade rumors and off season dramas. Now fans and hoops pundits are gearing up the games. In that line up, leading sports media, ESPN, recently dropped ranking involving the NBA players. In return, it didn’t sit well with the former player Kenyon Martin. He recently pointed out his disappointment as the French rookie Victor Wembanyama was ranked above a 9x NBA All-Star.

Without even playing a single minute in the league, the 7 ‘4 tall baller has created his own fan following in the US. The San Antonio Spurs seemingly placed their bets on the rising star, as they picked him as first overall in 2023 Draft. Even though he had a disappointing outing during the Summer league, he managed to impress the fans in preseason. But, Keyon Martin.

Similarly, after ESPN dropped the Top 100 NBA players ranking, this time it was a former player who jumped into debate to defend the 9x NBA All-Star, Russell Westbrook.

Former MVP winners Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry and LeBron James took a spot in the top 10. Whereas Beastbrook barely made it to the list, as he was ranked at 94. Meanwhile, rookies like Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson were placed in 47 and 78, respectively. In response to that, sitting in the latest episode of Gil’s Arenas, Kenyon Martin said, You got two people on the list that ain’t played one fu**ing NBA minute. how the f**k are they better than Russ?”

He then pointed out Henderson and Wemby’s ranking and expressed his disappointment. He further urged the fellow panelists to stop the ranking. Martin added,“Are you sh**ing me… let’s stop this fu**ing Madness man.”

Westbrook considerably had an underwhelming season comparing his peak, but the current pair up could prove the ranking wrong.
