In the unpredictable and complicated landscape of celebrity feuds, even the most unexpected people can find themselves being pulled into the spotlight. This time, it’s no one other than the Currys. Ayesha Curry, wife of NBA Superstar Steph Curry, had responded to being mentioned in a song by rapper Drake. The Currys have been mentioned in yet another rap song, a diss track released by Kendrick Lamar directed at Drake.

It’s common for celebrities to feature in the lyrics of the songs, but this instance stands out. A feud has been brewing between Drake and Kendrick for some time now, and the ticking bomb has finally exploded.

Drake’s sixth studio album, ‘Certified Lover Boy‘, came out in 2021, and one song, ‘Race My Mind,‘ referred to Ayesha Curry. Popular for his clever wordplay, the rapper wrote, Posted that pic you sent me. It wasn’t recent enough. How I’m supposed to wife it? You not Ayesha enough.” Drake holds Ayesha in high regard. In his eyes, she sets the standard.

In an interview from March, Ayesha shared her thoughts about the song. I think I was dumbfounded, she admitted, reflecting on the unexpected shout-out. I think it’s just one of those things … that’s like our family, so I think I was appreciative that they respect me so much that they feel that I’m a great wife. So I was appreciative.”

Drake has a close relationship with the Curry family. In addition to being good friends with NBA legend Stephen Curry, the Canadian rapper also has a bond with Ayesha Curry’s cousin Mark Graham, who works for OVO. This deep connection gives Drake’s lyrics’ seemingly lighthearted banter more depth. But one person is worried about Drake’s closeness with the Currys- Kendrick Lamar. His new song sent an ominous warning not only to the Currys; but also to LeBron James’ family.

To those who keep up with hip-hop, the beef between Kendrick and Drake is nothing new. Their ‘pot of beef‘ has been cooking for a while, and recently, everything came out in the open. The two rappers have been going back and forth for the past month. It was prompted by Drake’s song ‘First Person Shooter‘ with J. Cole, which came out in October last year. Kendrick responded to him in his verse on Metro Boomin’s new album ‘We Don’t Trust You.‘ Ever since then, both the rappers have released three diss tracks about each other.

In Kendrick’s latest song called ‘Meet the Grahams,‘ he went all out. He targeted all rumors surrounding Drake’s past and took several personal shots. Lamar issued a ‘warning‘ to LeBron James and Steph Curry. He said, Ayy, LeBron, keep the family away. Hey, Curry, keep the family away. But he did not stop at that. He stated, To anybody that embodies the love for the kids, keep the family away. They lookin’ at you too if you standin’ by him, keep the family away. I’m lookin’ to shoot through any pervert that lives, keep the family safe.”

It is one of the other significant claims that K Dot made about the Canadian rapper. The song has sent the internet into shambles. People are torn between both sides, and there have been mixed opinions about the rapper referencing LeBron and Curry. One thing’s for sure. Kendrick’s attacks on Drake’s personal life have stirred the pot even more. As the saga unfolds, fans wait eagerly for more music by both artists. Whose side are you taking?
