Since she was a high schooler, Ayesha Curry knew what her life’s trajectory would be – move to LA and be a star. Marriage? Kids? She wasn’t that type of girl. But things changed with Stephen Curry in the picture. In August, she revealed her earlier life plans on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, confessing, “I didn’t want kids. I didn’t wanna get married,” and “I, in the beginning, hated (the spotlight) so much. I did not sign up for that.” After four kids and at least 20 years with the NBA star, she also confirmed, “It’s like one of those things like you actually don’t know what you want.”

But the loyal Golden State fans of their Golden Boy were not thrilled. From critical judgments to asking Stephen Curry to leave Ayesha, they had everything to offer the couple. In fact, Steph’s former teammate, Kwame Brown, declared a separation timeline for the two in a fiery rant. However, the Currys have always known each other’s allegiances. Still, Ayesha Curry cemented Stephen’s significance in her life as she shared a photo of the two.

The couple was celebrating Steph’s latest off-court venture, The Eighth Rule. In the photo, Stephen was wearing a black leather bomber jacket with a white polo tee and black pants with green and maroon stripes on the sides. Ayesha complimented the Warriors’ superstar in a full-body maroon dress. Their outfits also matched the lounge’s setting that Curry unveiled by making a grand entrance rolling up in a San Francisco cable car.

It is a sleek bourbon bar tucked inside the Westin St. Francis at Union Square. In partnership with celebrity chef Michael Mina, the four-time NBA champion has turned a 40-seat speakeasy into a warm tribute to his Gentleman’s Cut bourbon, marking his first bold step into the world of hospitality.
The bar’s name references the seven official rules of bourbon production while inviting guests to create their own eighth rule for gathering. Curry expressed his vision for the space, stating, “I’ve always dreamt of creating my own little haven to bring people together, and now we have the perfect location.” The intimate lounge features amber lighting, velvet booths, and leather furnishings designed to evoke the hues of bourbon cocktails.
The Currys have previously collaborated with Michael Mina through Ayesha’s International Smoke restaurant, strengthening the partnership behind this new venture.

Despite the noise, the Currys have consistently chosen to let their actions speak louder than words. They were previously spotted together at the US Open Men’s Final, where Stephen Curry posted a wholesome selfie of the two of them smiling. He captioned the series of photos, “Got to see greatness at the @usopen this weekend.”
Neither Stephen nor Ayesha has directly addressed the backlash from the podcast comments in any formal statement. Instead of engaging with the negative discourse, they have continued to present a solid front, focusing on their family and their numerous joint projects.
