“Beat Him to a Pulp”: Coach Thibodeau Chastises Jimmy Butler for Smug Knicks Claim in Miami Grand Prix

The NBA Playoffs are always of high intensity. It involves a lot of work. And teams try to win it on and off the court using mind games, often giving opinions. This year, the Boston Celtics knocked the Miami Heat out in round 1 of the playoffs. Miami missed the services of their star player, Jimmy Butler, who was not permitted to play because of an injury.

Recently, Butler took a jab at the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks. His former coach Tom Thibodeau, currently coaching the Knicks, gave the jab taken by Butler a befitting reply.

During the Miami Grand Prix, Jimmy Butler claimed, “If I was playing, Boston would be at home. New York would damn sure be at home.” This statement was bold considering that the Heat lost to the Celtics by 4-1. Butler missed the playoffs this season because of an MCL injury. Tim Thibodeau quickly countered Butler’s comments.

Tim Thibodeau, current head coach of the Knicks and Butler’s former coach at the Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls, replied “Who? Don’t know him. But I will beat him to a pulp.
