The Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox‘s 3-point shooting has significantly improved in the 2023-24 NBA season, with a 5% increase from his previous average. He has been averaging great numbers this season and is on an exponential rise. To level up his shooting game, he decided to emulate Stephen Curry’s workout routine this off-season. King’s coach revealed the process and shared hilarious stories of the workout sessions. Stats show that Fox’s game has actually been enhanced, both his physical and mental game.

Days after working out with Steph, De’Aaron signed as the first signature athlete with Curry Brand. This multi-year partnership marks a pivotal milestone that coincides with a decade of collaboration between Stephen Curry and Under Armour.
Kings’ coach reveals the intense workout
King’s assistant coach Luke Loucks has been training with Fox in this off-season. He shared a humorous story with NBS Sports about an intense workout with Steph, which left Fox with cramping forearms. “The first time he worked out with him, he was excited and ready to go,” said Loucks. “And by the end of the workout, his forearms were cramping. His forearms were cramping from not only the volume but how intense everything was.”

While Fox was getting tired, Steph was going for 9 for 10 and sometimes 10 for 10. That’s the type of conditioning that the 3-point king Steph goes through. Fox is shooting 37.2 percent from 3-point range in 10 of his games.
De’Aaron Fox is the first athlete to sign with the Curry brand
Before signing with Curry Brand, Fox had been on a five-year deal with Nike. After parting ways with Nike, Fox was seen wearing the Curry Flow 10s for a good part of the 2022-23 season.
