Nearly two decades later, Warriors legend Andre Iguodala has retired from the NBA. He has been with Nike ever since he entered the league in 2004. He has signed several desks with Nike for his 19-year career. Iguodala was given two shoe options each season with three colorways for each option by Nike. Iguodala has been a sneaker head and one perk of being with Nike for this long is his huge sneaker collection.

The three-time champion has some inhibitions with the German giant Adidas so far as deeming it a hindrance to his game preparation and mental state. In his podcast, he was really blunt when he mentioned the $34.33B company.

The Philadelphia Sixers selected Iguodala as the #7 overall pick. He spent his first eight years in Philly. In his own podcast, he reminisced when he got into a spat with the Philly coach right before the game. Because the coach said, “We had to wear that big a** Adidas sweatsuit in a game, and I am like, bro, I feel like a property of somebody, and I feel like a bum walking into the game.”

The clothing the athletes wear plays a more profound role in the preparation than one might think. The reigning MVP continued by saying, “I need to feel who I need to be. I need to get my mind right, and it’s a psychological thing.”
