In the last quarter, with 2 minutes remaining in the game, James sunk a crucial three-pointer to cut down the lead to four points. The referee took a moment to review the bucket and called it a turnover after stating that King James had stepped out of bounds. Eventually, the Dubs went on to win the game, but James didn’t hesitate to call out the refs after the game.

During the post-game interview, one of the reporters reminded James of a similar call on his birthday this season. The refs turned a 3-pointer into a 2-pointer, stating that he stepped on the arc. In response, James said, “I didn’t believe I stepped out of the line, obviously. I knew how much space I had over there. When I shoot, I shoot on my tippy toes. I can’t have my heal down. Probably the shoe got outside the line.”

The Lakers’ superstar was seen pleading to the refs to overturn the call in the previous case. However, tonight he had a mellowed-down approach. He restricted himself to calling out the refs in the interview.

Meanwhile, in the previous case, apart from pleading to the refs, he also took the affairs into his own hands.

When James tried to plead his case to the refs on his birthday, they didn’t pay heed and stuck to their decision. The superstar didn’t seem like backing down from his argument, as he took the issue to his IG followers.

He took to his IG handle and shared the picture of the controversial call with a furious caption. The caption read, “Sooooooooooooooo!!!!! WTF. Helluva Happy Bday gift to me.” The picture clearly showed that Bron’s foot was behind the line.
