The Boston Celtics continue with their clean home run, winning all 19 home games. Tonight, they took on the Houston Rockets, amid the controversial return of Ime Udoka to TD Garden. But, the home team dominated the visitors with a thumping 145-113 blow-out win. The Celts’ win came two days after they suffered a humiliating loss at Milwaukee.

Two days ago, the Milwaukee Bucks ran over the Celtics with a blowout 135-102 win at Fiserv Forum. The starting line-up had a terrible outing, managing to drop only 31 points out of the 102 points. Mazzulla lifted the white flag right after the first half by benching the starters for the rest of the game. However, in tonight’s game, the Celts were on a roll.

Joe Mazzulla goes philosophical after the Rockets win

The Celtics took on their former coach Ime Udoka, who had a controversial exit from the side after the 2021-22 season. While Udoka hyped up the game with his “I am not worried” statement ahead of the game, Joe Mazzulla gave a perfect reply with a win.

The home team kept the pressure right from the first quarter with a 4-point lead and built on it till the end of the game. Notably, they tightened the screws in the third quarter, dropping 43 points and taking a 26-point lead. Jaylen Brown came out as the pick of the lot, scoring 32 points with 6 rebounds.

Following the win, Celtics HC Joe Mazzulla had an interesting message about the NBA world. A philosophical message. Joe said, “The healthiest relationship to have with success is to understand that we can still get better.” While the Celtics are already dominating the season with a 30-9 record, he aims to keep it even better.

Did Mazzulla pick it up from Giannis?

Ahead of the Celtics-Bucks game, Giannis had an important message to his teammates and staff. He said, “We have to be better.We have to play better. We have to defend better. We have to trust one another better.” Despite holding the second seed in the East, he wanted his team to play better, and they took out the Celtics with a blowout win.

Two days later, Mazzulla’s men took a blow-out win and the HC said that his team can still be better. While both philosophies could be unrelated, it isn’t a stretch to assume that Giannis’ words had some effect on the C’s HC.
