The Celtics have raced away with the 1st spot in the Eastern Conference standings, with 52 wins from 66 games. They have looked indomitable during the regular season, becoming the first team to have secured a guaranteed playoff spot this season.

While Brown will be out for the game, Stephen A. Smith’s 2024 MVP Jayson Tatum has received the green flag to play. But while Jayson Tatum could get minutes versus the Wizards, the Celtics would miss the services of several key players. Apart from Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics have also ruled out Kristaps Porziņģis for tonight’s game because of a hamstring strain. Moreover, Derrick White would also miss the game, due to a left-hand sprain in Boston’s last match against the Phoenix Suns.

The absence of Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, and Derrick White could be a big blow for the Boston Celtics. However, they still possess enough firepower to dismantle a rebuilding Wizards team that sits dead last in the Eastern Conference standings. Tatum has averaged 27 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. But how would the Celtics lineup, with more than three starters sidelined for the game?
Boston Celtics starting five vs the Wizards
The game between the Celtics and the Washington Wizards is scheduled to tip-off by 6:00 PM, Eastern Time at the Capital One Arena in Washington.
