Not even LeBron James, it’s Bronny James, who has been hitting the headlines lately. In the last few days, the 19-year-old guard imbibed all the media attention as he exposed himself for the first time in the NBA world. He showcased his talents at the Draft Combine and made a strong statement. However, the superstar’s youngest son, Bryce James, took some of the limelight amid the ongoing Nike Elite Youth Basketball League.

The Nike EYBL session at Indianapolis marked the beginning of the open recruitment period for college basketball. Bryce, who is currently playing his sophomore year at Sierra Canyon High School, represented the Team Strive For Greatness (SFG) at the event. Coaches from top colleges usually line up at the AAU events to look for their fresh scouts. The EYBL wasn’t any different, but this time, the 16-year-old could showcase his talent in front of 10+ colleges.

While Bronny James received 9 college offers during high school from Ohio, Oregon, Kentucky, Michigan, and many more, Bryce James may get more offers than his brother. The report stated the defending champions, UConn, along with UCLA, Ohio State, Miami, and many more joined the event.

Bronny, before joining USC, was the 19th-best prospect in the country and also the 5th-best guard of his class. However, even before the rising star could double his accolades, he suffered a cardiac arrest. It slowed down his process and gravely affected his freshman year season. He stepped into the season under-prepared and ended up finishing the season with a poor average of 4.8 points, coming off the bench.

Nevertheless, he almost shut down his critics during the Draft Combine with an impressive performance. Moreover, he has a busy few months as the rising star approaches his 2024 NBA Draft. While he won’t be considered on the top-10 picks, but he definitely will decide his father’s future in the league.

Will Bryce James supersede his brother Bronny?

Being the offspring of superstars like LeBron James comes with its disadvantages. Especially when the kids follow the same profession. In the case of the James family, both sons have picked the ball and await a ton of criticism on their way. Bronny James has already faced a fair bit of criticism during his freshman. While Bryce James hasn’t been exposed to the brutal outdoors, he has received rare praise.

Apart from the comparison with their dad, the two sons have already been compared based on their balling skills. According to ESPN‘s Brian Windhorst, Bryce is a better baller than Bronny. He said, “More naturally talented son appears to be Bryce, but the one wants it so badly is Bronny,” during his appearance on Bill Simmons Podcast.

Bryce, who plays in the shooting guard position, has a taller stature than Bronny. Currently, at the age of 16, he stands at 6 ‘6 while his elder brother stands at 6 ‘1 without the sneakers. With years to come, the youngest son could transform into a lethal force in the NBA world. But, many ballers have proven day in and day out that by making a mark in the NBA with their short stature.

Who do you think will sustain longer in the NBA world? Bryce or Bronny? Let us know in the comments.
