Left to raise her son alone while his father, Anthony McClelland, stayed absent, Gloria endured financial struggles but instilled resilience and devotion that shaped LeBron’s life. Today, in contrast, LeBron has not only financial security but the steadfast support of his wife, Savannah, whom he’s been with for decades.

As the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary this week, Gloria marked the occasion with a heartfelt Instagram tribute, sharing a photo from their 2013 ceremony and writing, “Happy Anniversary to my son and my daughter-in-law… I pray that God continues to bless and keep you for years to come. I love you two.”

Within an hour of publishing the post, it received 7000+ likes, including one from Bryce himself! LeBron and Savannah’s youngest son, who recently committed to the University of Arizona, has yet to post a tribute himself. However, while Bryce has paid tributes to his parents on other separate occasions, he doesn’t wish them on their wedding anniversaries.

Recently, LeBron’s’ mother had referred to the James clan as “a big happy family”. When LeBron James was first considering a return to Cleveland, both his mother and his wife were initially not on board. Gloria has continued being a loving grandmother to Bronny, Bryce, and LeBron and Savannah’s youngest child and only daughter, Zhuri. Back in May, she even put out a tribute to Bryce after the latter graduated high school by posting photos from the graduation ceremony and writing “I’m so very proud of you. And I wish you the very best in your future endeavors. I know that you’re going to strive and succeed to reach beyond the planets!!!! I LOVE YOU, Grammy.”

Having spent the last few decades with both ladies, the Lakers star has found the experience to be reportedly quite rewarding. The tributes he posts for each of them from time to time continue to prove that. However, there are also times when the two ladies’ sense of fashion might have made the NBA star a bit impatient.

LeBron James Called It a ‘Close Battle’ When Discussing Whether Savannah or Gloria Takes More Time To Change

Back in September 2023, LeBron James and his loved ones participated in an interview with Vanity Fair. During the same time, the James family was asked who they believed took the longest to get dressed. Bronny openly admitted to Savannah being the main culprit, Zhuri pointed to Bryce, and Bryce ended up arguing that the honor should go to his younger sister. Gloria admitted to it being a ‘tight race’ between herself and Savannah. LeBron James didn’t choose to argue with that point.

“There is a close war between who takes the longest between my mother Gloria, and my wife Savannah” said LeBron. “For sure”.

Over the years, both Savannah James and Gloria James have built themselves up to be fashion icons. From pairing a chocolate brown leather bustier with sophisticated houndstooth trousers to rocking a burgundy pinstripe dress complete with a button-up and matching burgundy tie, Savannah has impressed netizens and LeBron, over the years, through her looks. Meanwhile, Gloria James has also often ‘served’ looks, just like back in February 2022 when she donned a pantsuit covered in a plethora of colors and letterings.
