Celtics Injury Update: Will Jaylen Brown Play Tonight? Can 2X All-Star Seal Boston’s Knockout Spot in the In-Season Tournament vs Bulls?

Boston Celtics face the Chicago Bulls in the NBA In-Season tournament tonight. Chicago, who have lost all three games, are languishing at the bottom of Group C and are already eliminated. On the other hand, Boston has started the tournament strongly, winning two of their three fixtures. This, however, does not mean there is no jeopardy involved. The Orlando Magic are currently topping the group, and both the Brooklyn Nets and Celtics are fighting for the wild card spot.
The Celtics have largely been relying on the services of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, their magnetic duo. And as the Celtics eye the inaugural In-Season trophy, the contributions of the two will count. So, will Jaylen Brown play tonight against the Bulls and help the Celtics hold a tight spot ahead?

There are no official updates from the Celt’s end about the 2X All-Star’s injury. It is, however, safe to assume that the ‘Old Man’ would be running tonight against the Bulls. There was a slight scare against the Atlanta Hawks when Green suffered a massive fall. But it seemed to have not done any major harm.
Kristaps Porzingis (calf strain) and Derrick White are supposed to be out for tonight. Apart from that, Jrue Holiday is also questionable due to a right ankle sprain. After a loss against group-toppers, the Orlando Magic, a win tonight can increase the chances of making it out of the Group Play.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls do not seem to be in good shape. They are the 13th seeders in the Eastern Conference and have lost 3 group-stage matches in the In-season tournament. Simply put, Boston needs to beat the Bulls by 23 points or more – which means, a whopping of Chicago is on the cards likely at the hands of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Another Tatum-Brown masterclass tonight?
Jayson Tatum is in tremendous form, averaging 28.0 points, coupled with 9.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. Brown, on the other hand, has also been impressive, averaging 21.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.0 steals per game. The Celtics are the top-seeders in the conference table, thanks to both of them.
With the Celtics looking to make it to the knockouts tonight, can they overpower the Bulls defense? Or will Zach LaVine and co. eye to upset them? At this point, the former seems far more likely.
