The Boston Celtics ended their 11-game winning streak, but Jaylen Brown looked at the brighter side. It was definitely anybody’s game in the end after the Cleveland Cavaliers chased back a massive lead powered by Dean Wade. The visitors even had the chance to steal the game in the last second, but the odds favored the Cavs.

While Jayson Tatum expressed his disappointment with the last call, Brown seemed to show a unique mentality after the loss. He said, “Any given night, you can lose. Tonight, obviously in this fashion, Wade scores 20 in the fourth and da-da-da-la-la, everything goes their way. We haven’t really seen a team storm back like that. But, you know, it happens. It’s the league, the NBA, anything can happen.”

Similarly, another report stated that the majority of the Celtics crew felt the loss could be beneficial for the team. Notably, the team was amid a strong 11-game hot streak and also was fresh off 50-point win over their rivals, the Golden State Warriors.

Nevertheless, the Cavs played an outstanding game in the last quarter and nothing can take away their brilliance. Speaking of the Cavs performance, Brown said, “Everybody’s gonna have their perspective on it. Mine is that’s what happens when you don’t match the gas.”

The Celtics looked completely off color in the last quarter, struggling to shut off the Cavs’ offense and barely scored any bucket. The Cavs’ Dean Wade emerged as the star of the night dropping 20 points in the 4th quarter alone. He led the Cavs’ 32-6 stretch to chase down the 16-point deficit in the 4th quarter.

Controversial end to the game – Jayson Tatum blames the refs

Even after Dean Wade orchestrated a massive comeback, the game was still in the hands of the Celtics till the last second. Jayson Tatum extracted shooting foul with a 1 point deficit and less than a second on the clock. When JT went for the jumper, Cavs’ Darius Garland came closer to Tatum’s landing area. However, the home team won the challenge and over turned the call.

When it should have been a two FT opportunities for the Celts, it ended up in a jump ball battle with 0.7 seconds left on the call.
