The Boston Celtics shut down the LA crowd with a dominating performance, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day. It wasn’t Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, who guided the team with their offensive brilliance, but the 7 ‘3 star Kristaps Porziņģis. The Latvian star dropped 28 points and took home the festival day gift along with the support of his teammates. However, among his teammates, he revealed his “Perfect teammate”, following the game.

Kristaps Porziņģis revealed his ‘perfect teammate’

It was the Celtics star guard Derrick White, who racked up the title ‘perfect teammate’ from Kristaps Porzingis. It’s natural to go under the radar in a team filled with superstars like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Jrue Holiday. But White and Porzingis stuck to their roles and produced some impressive numbers to pull them into the conversation.

Importantly, Porzingis wasn’t shying away from highlighting the efforts of White, following his game-winning effort on Monday night. White dropped 18 points with 11 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks, supporting Porzingis’ efforts.

He said, “I didn’t realize how good D White was… He was kinda under the radar little bit. He is special… 90% of time, he makes the right play all the time… That’s the perfect teammate you want.”

This isn’t just the story about the Christmas Day game, the White-Porzingis duo has turned the NBA world’s attention to their side with some impressive numbers this season.

Derrick White emerged as the best blocking shooting guard of the league, reported NBC Sports. He produced historical figures with his recent performances in this season. The star went on to deliver three blocks in four consecutive games to become the first Celtics star to ever do it.

Along with it, he registered an NBA record as well. He became the first player to drop 6 three-pointers and three blocks in consecutive games in the NBA world.

Apart from that, he recorded a joint record with Porzingis as well, making them a strong duo in the NBA world. White became the second player to drop at least 12 three-pointers and three blocks in consecutive games, following Porzingis.
