Chris Paul is all things that the Golden State Warriors needed this season. After starting in 1365 career games, the most consecutive starts for any player since 1970-71, CP3 has agreed to come from the bench. And like always, he is extracting the best from others, while putting on stellar performances. To add to that revelry, he has also broken the jinx and is thriving with Stephen Curry, who is going berserk against every team.

Will this be the year that brings that one thing that Chris Paul has been missing in his illustrious career? If yes, where will he find himself in the PG goat debate?

Anthony Slater has reported on Chris Paul’s 3-point shot. Having started his Warriors career poorly from beyond the arc, the three certainly looked like it meant a lot to the Point God.

As much as the Golden State fans hated Chris Paul as an opponent, they have accepted him with open arms for joining forces with the Warriors. With Andre Iguodala retiring, the Dubs needed a veteran voice to guide the youngsters both professionally and personally. In CP3, they have a consummate professional to lead by example. The second unit performance, which was a major drawback last year, has had a 360-degree turn, thanks to Chris Paul’s magic.

With all the positives to the season, the Dubs are having certain issues to take care of as well. It is public knowledge that Klay Thompson is not happy with the way his contract negotiations are shaping up. But with his injury history and his attrition, the front office might not extend him a max contract. In the first 10 minutes of the game, Steph Curry scored 16 points with 5 of 7 from the field, which included 3 of 5 from beyond the arc, and 3 of 3 free throws. Then the chef went on a tear to score his 42 points to defeat the Pelicans.

In his fifteenth season in the league, Steph is averaging 30.7 points per game to go along with 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists with a 50.9% field goal percentage. With such a positive start to the season, the Dubs have the time and the talent to build for a great postseason.
