Clippers star Russell Westbrook has been ruled out for the remainder of the game! Injuries began to worry the star-studded Clippers roster, as the former MVP suffered a fracture in tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards. During the second quarter, Beastbrook seemed to have fractured his left hand in an attempt to defend Jordan Poole. The star immediately left the court after the collision and the medical team announced a crucial update after the half time.

Westbrook didn’t return to the court, and the team announced that he had fractured his left hand and wouldn’t return for the remainder of the game, as per Tomer Azarly, a sports reporter.

Over the last few games, the LA Clippers missed their star baller Paul George, owing to a knee injury. Even though the team announced that the star was listed on Day-to-Day injury report, there was a major buzz surrounding his return. It was because of the star’s past with the injuries.

Ever since he joined the Clippers fold in 2019, PG-13 and Kawhi Leonard have sustained multiple season-ending injuries, leaving the team hanging in the middle of the season. However, in this season, everything seemed to be going as per plan. Especially after the James Harden trade, the team has been competing for a spot at the top of the Western Conference table.

Unfortunately, it all may come crashing down after Russell Westbrook‘s injury. The former MVP has been leading the Clips’ second unit and also stamped his authority with his performance. Even though the management has reduced the star’s minutes on the court, he has managed to average 11 points per game this season.

Westbrook’s absence didn’t affect the Clippers’ dominant game against the Wizards tonight. The LA side managed to produce a blow out 140-115 win. Harden led the side with 28 points and 8 assists, supported by Leonard’s 27 points. However, it may not be the case in the future.
