LeBron James & Co.’s 2024 postseason run came crashing down tonight. After going down 3-0 in the series, the LA Lakers almost forced Game 6 with an inspiring run. Nevertheless, it was the defending champions who snatched the win away at the end. Following the loss, it eventually led to the important question: will King James continue balling in the league next season? The superstar’s agent Rich Paul, who claimed to be James’ biggest critic, dropped an update.

Featuring on the latest episode of SiriusXM NBA Radio, the millionaire agent batted for the superstar. Speaking of James’ future, he said, “Yeah, you know, I believe so.” While the agent’s response didn’t show a clear picture of the future, he also had a message to the fans and critics, who expect a lot from the 4x champ. He described how the media and fans set expectations on him right from his rookie season to the Lakers era.

Paul even quoted one of LeBron James‘ iconic statements where he squashed the critics when he said, “I’m gonna do what I want to do.” After pleading his case for James, Paul took the backseat for a moment and said, “I think it’s OK to allow somebody to be who they are. I get it. And I’m not saying that biasedly because I’m LeBron’s biggest critic, by the way, you know? When I have an issue, especially on the basketball court, I go get in front of him, and we talk about it.”

Along with that, Rich Paul sneak peaked into a heartbreaking reality that might sink the LBJ fans. He added, “, I don’t know how long we see him play but my conversation with him is just have fun… So just enjoy the ride, man, it’s been a beautiful ride.”

While Paul didn’t reveal much about James’ future, the superstar himself dropped responded to the ‘question of the hour’.

LeBron James reacts to the Lakers’ future question

Ahead of Game 5, LeBron James considered it to be the most important game of the season. And he definitely played like it too. He dropped 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists to give the Lakers a sure-shot chance at the game. Unfortunately, it was Jamal Murray‘s brilliance that won the game for the Nuggets.

Ahead of the postseason, there were a lot of speculations surrounding James’ future with the Lakers. The superstar will reach the player option in the off-season and it’s up to him to decide whether to stay in LA. Many rumors suggested that he would stick with the Lakers only if they roped in Bronny in the 2024 Draft.

Nevertheless, it all remains a speculation until the official announcement. But, James mixed signals in the post-game press conference when asked about his Lakers’ run. He said, “Uhhhh, I’m not going to answer that,” and ended the presser abruptly. Does it mean James won’t continue with the Purple and Gold side?
