Karl-Anthony Towns’ girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, has been in New York City to attend the games. She was accompanied by the ever-iconic Simone Biles courtside for the Knicks vs. Thunder on Friday. However, despite being in NYC, her heart was in LA, as she watched her city burn. In light of the situation, Jordyn took to Instagram Stories to provide a quick update to her fans, reassuring them that her family was safe. Additionally, she expressed her prayers for everyone’s safety amidst the chaos. In another Story, Woods wrote:

“The city will never be the same. I am blessed to be in NY during this time but can only think of my brother who is working the streets and the front-line responders. PLEASE, if you are in LA try your best to stay masked up. There’s power in unity and numbers. We must stick together in these scary times, This is when community matters the most.”

Furthermore, even those who aren’t from or around Los Angeles are offering their prayers, hoping for the city to heal.

Amidst all prayers, Jordyn Woods found peace in the Denver Nuggets star, Russell Westbrook’s wife, Nina’s words. KAT’s girlfriend reposted Mrs. Westbrook’s post on her IG Story which says: “I have been at a loss of words for days. The only thing I can currently think of is to express my gratitude to all the firefighters, pilots, and first responders who are working tirelessly, putting their lives on the line, and performing some of the most incredible stunts I’ve ever witnessed to bring an end to this nightmare we’re experiencing here in LA. Thank you.”
