Steve Kerr shuts down a reporter after he addressed the stinging Stephen Curry question. The Golden State Warriors have struggled during Steph’s off-court minutes. Compared to the last two seasons, the point difference between the superstar’s on-and-off-court points has considerably gone down. Addressing the issue, a reporter asked the Dubs’ HC’s opinion after the loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Kerr, in his response, dismissed the concern and stressed that the team doesn’t necessarily need to worry about that. He added, “If you want to say (Steph Curry) playing 30 or 32 minutes was the difference in a win or a loss, I totally disagree.”

Steve Kerr revealed that workload management was the reason behind playing Steph for only 30-odd minutes. However, the Dub Nation wasn’t entirely pleased with Kerr’s response. Here are some reactions from the Dubs fans.

A fan straight-up suggested a grave idea to change the head coach.

Another fan hilariously suspected a foul play in Kerr’s decision.

While the majority of fans steamed off at Kerr, a lonely fan showed his support for the HC.

Another fan also agreed to Kerr’s stance and accepted the team’s defeat.

Over the last decade, Stephen Curry shouldered the Dubs team to glorious heights. Kerr, however, felt that the 36-year-old superstar shouldn’t be burdened anymore and suggested a monitored workload. He said, “We’re trying to keep him around 30. Trying to get him as much rest.”

While Kerr stressed on taking care of his superstar’s workload, the Dubs’ season is also on the line. The Houston Rockets have come closer to dragging the Warriors down from the Play-in Tournament. If not Steph, Kerr definitely needs to find an alternate to sail the ship.

Stephen Curry – on and off the floor record

Officially, the Stephen Curry impact is no longer a trump card for the Dubs. In the recent episode of 95.7 The Game, hosts directed the current on-and-off-the-floor stats and made a stinging statement. One of the hosts said, “He is not good enough anymore to drag requisite pieces around him.”

They also revealed the stats to back their statement. In this season, the Dubs are +22 points in the difference between Steph’s on and off-the-court minutes.  Whereas in the last two seasons, the Dubs were +367 and +541 respectively. One may argue that Jonathan Kuminga and Trayce Jackson-Davis’ performances may have reduced the numbers. At the same time, it won’t make a big difference.
