Stuttering start of the new season put LeBron James led Lakers under scanner. They lost against the defending champions Denver Nuggets in their opening game. Following the defeat, their coach Darvin Ham took to the post-match media conference and made a huge announcement.

Darvin Ham Takes a U-Turn!

The Lakers made an impressive comeback against Kevin Durant‘s Suns. Despite Durant’s phenomenal performance consisting of 39 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists, the Lakers had the last laugh. Anthony Davis, who was criticized after the last game, stepped up his performance too, scoring 30. However, all eyes were on LeBron, and the Lakers fans were eager to see how many minutes does James spend on the court.

King James proved that he did not lose his touch, or fitness even at 38. He finished the match with a spellbinding 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists. Post this match, Ham’s narrative changed.

During the post-game presser, Ham was asked how he is using rotations and still keeping James in his 21st season and AD at a stretch. “Absolutely, it is very beautiful to watch, and we needed every ounce of it, uh you know for him to have a well balanced game like that,” replied Ham. He went further to praise his defense, rebounds and assists.

Fans had mixed reactions to the post-match conference. Some fans even wanted Ham out of Lakers. They criticized Anthony Davis for having disappeared in the entire second half. Davis had the job to fill the void of James, after the superstar got subbed off, but he failed to keep up. Some fans went further to scrutinize Ham’s weird rotation policies.
